Distilling service

FINALIZE YOUR PROJECT.

BRENNSERVICE.

Burning the work of others is generally always possible, however certain conditions must be met, which are usually not considered when starting a DIY project.

Above all, the firing temperature of the processed clay and the desired glaze must match that of the other pieces in the kiln.

Therefore, I recommend obtaining the clay directly from the place where you intend to have it burned.

There is also the option of a special firing, where the kiln is filled and fired exclusively with your pieces.

You can find more details and prices below.

I personally work with stoneware clay. I fire this in a bisque firing at 960°C, and then after glazing, I fire it smooth at 1280°C.

The pieces that are only fired during my process, meaning the clay and glaze should be designed for a temperature of at least 1280°C, ideally 1300°C.

If this isn't the case and you have several pieces, you can also consider using a kiln firing service for an entire kiln. This allows the firing temperature to be individually adjusted to the needs of your raw materials.

  • The price includes a brief check of the quality and suitability of the object and the glaze for firing.
(Damage caused by improper workmanship on the oven, the burner plates or other parts must be covered by the manufacturer of the object.)
